“Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves.” - Stephen Moss"Every kid should get the chance to explore the world on two wheels. This is a story to inspire the next generation of mountain bikers." - David Wiens, Executive Director, International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA)Rated 5 Stars from Readers' FavoriteA must-read story for families seeking epic fresh air adventure. “Today is the perfect day for a mountain bike ride,” Ryan tells her beloved labrador, Charlie. Ryan is a courageous young girl who loves weaving through trees, climbing over rocks, and zooming down hills on her bicycle. But before she can hit the trails with her Mommy and Daddy, Ryan’s body needs fuel, her tires need air, and Charlie needs a belly rub.Soon, she’s fully immersed in the sights and sounds of the surrounding forest. Leaves crunch, birds chirp, and mud splish-splashes against her sweaty skin. On her mountain bike, Ryan feels free! But it’s not all smooth sailing. Steep hills challenge her endurance, and when Ryan takes a rough tumble, her resilience is put to the test.As Ryan discovers that the view is always worth the climb, this sweet outdoor adventure narrative celebrates the pure magic that happens on two wheels. At the end of the book, readers can find the recipe for Ryan’s wholesome and delicious pre-ride breakfast along with A Family Guide to Keeping Kids Safe While Mountain Biking!"Katie Dalton and Craig Friedman tell an engaging tale of a young girl's love for the sport of biking. They capture the essence of a child's love of adventure and, with some colorful illustrations, craft a tale kids are bound to enjoy. Even readers who have never learned to ride will appreciate the sense of wonder and awe that riding outdoors offers a person." Readers’ Favorite, 5 Stars"Ryan, the young bicyclist in Ryan Goes Mountain Biking, is a great role model for young girls. She's ambitious, adventurous, likes to get muddy, and doesn't mind a few scratches and scrapes. She's connected to the natural world through her body and her bike. This is a great book to motivate young girls and boys to try out the exciting sport of mountain biking." This is a feel-good story all around and a reminder of some of the most important things in life: getting outside, moving your body, and connecting to nature, fueling your body properly for adventure (and life!), and following something you’re passionate about, even when it’s tough (or in this book’s case, falling and bruising your knee). Aside from the wonderful story about mountain biking, with underlining themes that could be applied to other sports or areas of life, I particularly loved the illustrations. The helpful tips and proper etiquette information and recipe included are such a nice bonus, too! We will be reading this one over and over, and certainly hope this is not the last book from this author and illustrator team . Incredibly well done, highly recommend! Ryan Goes Mountain Biking PDF Online website He really loved the book, so much so that he wanted to read it by himself. Usually getting him to read all of a book to me is a battle, and even trading pages between him and me can lead to complaining. But this one he just wanted to read on his own. He's been a casual biker since he was 2, and it was really interesting to watch his brain process that you could also ride bikes NOT on pavement (we live in a city). When an opportunity came up to go visit family who biked off-road, he was REALLY excited to take his bike and try something new.Overall, great book, great message, and great experiences came from it! PDF Ryan Goes Mountain Biking epub online This book appealed to me as a grandmother because of the spirit of the character Ryan. She is a young girl with an adventurous spirit. I loved the illustrations and descriptive language that makes you feel like you are on the biking trail with her. I like that the safety of biking was covered at the beginning of the ride and I felt that it was very important that Ryan showed her tenacity when she fell off the bike but got back up! At the end of the book you can share in her feeling of accomplishment and joy. I look forward to sharing this book with my grandchild and would recommend it to any parent that loves to share the joy of reading. ePUB Ryan Goes Mountain Biking epub online My 7 y/o daughter and I read this the other early morning, and found the illustrations absolutely beautiful and the storyline engaging. I rarely write reviews as I'm not confident in my word choice, but to try to explain our experience with the book I feel "calming" and peaceful is appropriate. The little kiddo is passionate about being on the bike, helps out in the kitchen to make a healthy breakfast, enjoys being outside and revels in small sensory aspects of the natural experience, and joins in on caring for the equipment. Overall, the book presents a rosy though believable portrait of an enthusiastic kid, supportive family, and their happy adventures together. Again, the imagery is very good, as well. (PDF) Ryan Goes Mountain Biking I read this to my 4 year old daughter a couple of times and she really enjoyed the story. In the book, Ryan takes a tumble off of her bike and gets a bum knee. The next day we were out riding our bikes and my daughter also crashed and bumped her knee and it was great to be able to say "that's the same thing that happened to Ryan, you'll be ok just like she was!". Overall, the book has great illustrations, keeps the story nice and simple for children to follow along, and has great messaging regarding nutritious meals, trail etiquette, biking safety, and encouraging words regarding pushing and challenging yourself.
